（法新社華盛頓13日電） 各國總統、總理、南美洲政治強人以至幾乎所有美國國會議員都將推特（Twitter）當作推動政見的平台。

推特宣布計劃首度公開發行股票（IPO），它問世7年以來，成為國會議員和政治領導人與大眾對話的不可或缺工具，他們期望透過推文傳達自己的想法，但是這些話常常沒有經過深思熟慮。

美國總統歐巴馬擁有破紀錄的3650萬追隨者，他去年11月擊敗共和黨籍總統候選人羅姆尼（Mitt Romney）時，跳過傳統媒體，選擇在推特向全球宣布「再拚4年」。

這則勝選宣言也成為史上獲得最多次轉推的推文。

各黨派議員擁抱推特，當他們發文表達政策立場、回應突發新聞，公開「自拍照」，都必須使用140個以內的字元飆速發新聞。

維吉尼亞聯邦大學（VCU）傳播教授梅斯納（Marcus Messner）說，政治人物「別無選擇，只能加入推特」。

不用推特等於是放棄用最具吸引力的政治語言，與支持者、選戰策略師和其他政治人物和記者搏感情。

梅斯納強調，僅發表新聞稿沒什麼用處。他說：「重要的是，政治人物必須展現個性。」
