Corliss Williamson重返NBA！不過這次是以助理教練的身分回到聯盟，任職沙加緬度國王隊。
1995年的選秀會上，國王以首輪第十三順位相中Williamson。過去三年他都在阿肯色州中部的大學執教，擔任男籃總教練一職。
根據《Yahoo! Sports》報導，Williamson表示：「老實說，我沒看到其他任何比重返沙加緬度更好的機會！」
「沙加緬度是開啟我NBA生涯的地方，職涯中有過半的球季效力於此。我會懷念阿肯色的，包含這裡的居民和球迷。針對個人而言這無非是絕佳的機會，我要去更高層級的球隊執教。」Williamson接著說。
這位前NBA球員於2007年宣佈退役時，先於阿肯色巴普提斯特學院擔任助理教練，而他再度回到聯盟的消息還是由阿肯色州當地報紙率先披露。
擁有12年NBA資歷的他，效力過沙加緬度國王、多倫多暴龍、底特律活塞及費城76人等四支球隊，其中曾於2004年與活塞一同戴上冠軍戒、並高舉金盃。2001-02球季身披活塞戰袍期間，Williamson榮鷹「年度最佳第六人」的獎項。 (接下一頁)
